My mind has not been in the real world for at least a month due to the quarantine situation, I've been deep in the mode of escapism. I try to forget about the state of the world by living vicariously through video game characters because it seems so much more real and pleasant than the real world. Instead of being practically trapped in my home I could be on a luxury island where I make all the decisions, I can fish and live at my own leisure in Animal Crossing. Or I could be roaming the bustling backstreets of Japan in Persona 5, eating at the diner with my friends, forming connections with my high school pals while learning more about them and how society has wronged them. I plan to visually combine these two fictional worlds in which I "live" for this project.
